DTI STARTS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR E-COMMERCE TRUSTMARK PROGRAM

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has launched an online portal allowing merchants to apply for an e-commerce trustmark aimed at promoting safer digital trade.

This trustmark helps consumers identify legitimate online sellers and encourages businesses to follow fair and responsible e-commerce practices.

Trade Secretary Cristina Roque emphasized that the initiative supports consumer protection and builds trust in the digital marketplace, in line with President Marcos’s directive.

Issued under the Internet Transactions Act of 2023, the trustmark serves as a digital badge that businesses can display on their websites and physical stores to boost credibility.

Interested online merchants can apply through the DTI’s portal by submitting required business registrations and can also verify trustmark authenticity using a QR code.
