Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon and Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong inspected the Guisad Surong landslide site on Aug. 21 to assess damage and identify immediate safety measures.
The inspection focused on funding for emergency response and slope protection works in the affected area.
Magalong said Dizon recognized the severity of the situation and the need for urgent intervention to protect residents.
Dizon and Magalong also visited areas in Benguet affected by Typhoons Luis and Maymay and the enhanced southwest monsoon.
They inspected slope protection works, a road slip, and the Strawberry Farm-Bolo Creek Flood Control project.
