The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is investigating a potential data breach involving 48 companies under its accredited trust assessment provider program.
About 410 files, totaling around 600 megabytes of data, may have been exposed.
The files reportedly include corporate records, permits, certifications, cybersecurity credentials, employment documents, and DICT performance evaluations.
DICT said the investigation will determine the authenticity, source, nature, and extent of the alleged data exposure.
If personal or protected information is confirmed compromised, the agency said it will take appropriate action and notify affected companies under the Data Privacy Act.
