DFA ALERTS PUBLIC TO PASSPORT DELAYS AMID MIDDLE EAST CRISIS

The Department of Foreign Affairs announced that new passport applicants may face delays of up to 15 working days due to disruptions in the electronic passport printing supply chain caused by the Middle East crisis.

Applications submitted from the last week of March onward are affected, and the extended processing times will continue until further notice.

The DFA is coordinating with its third-party printing provider to resolve the issue and restore normal operations.

The advisory did not specify which part of the crisis caused the disruption or how many applicants were impacted.

Those needing urgent passport services can contact the DFA via designated email addresses for assistance.
