The Department of Education clarified that students applying to science high schools in the National Capital Region can list up to five preferred schools under the new unified admission system.
While students submit only one application and take a single exam on March 7, their scores will be ranked separately for each selected school.
Applicants may qualify for interviews at multiple schools depending on their ranking and available slots.
The unified system replaces the previous process, where students had to apply separately to each science high school.
Eligible applicants must be Filipino Grade 6 students with at least 85% in English, Math, and Science, and 83% in other subjects, and those who qualify must confirm enrollment within five working days of the April 10 results release.
