Dennis Trillo won Best Actor at the 48th Gawad Urian Awards for his role in “Green Bones,” receiving praise for his hard work.
Marxie Maolen Fadul also took home Best Production Design for the same film.
Cinemalaya favorites dominated the night, with “Alipato at Muog” winning Best Film, Best Editing, and Best Director for JL Burgos, who directed the documentary about his missing brother, activist Jonas Burgos.
Other Cinemalaya winners included “Kono Basho,” which earned Best Actress for Arisa Nakano and Best Cinematography for Dan Villegas, and “Tumandok,” which secured multiple awards, including Best Direction, Screenplay, and Supporting Actor.
The event also honored Dante Rivero with the Natatanging Gawad Urian for lifetime achievement.
