Davao City remains the Philippines’ most traffic-congested city in 2025, ranking 12th globally and fourth in Asia, according to the 14th TomTom Traffic Index.
The city’s average congestion level is 66.2%, causing drivers to lose about 168 hours a year in rush-hour traffic.
Compared to other Asian cities, Davao fares better than Bangkok but worse than Bandung, while Bengaluru topped the region in congestion.
On average, drivers in Davao travel 4.4 kilometers in 15 minutes at a speed of 17.5 km/h, similar to traffic conditions in Tainan and Kyoto.
Manila ranks second in the Philippines with a 57% congestion level, where motorists lose an estimated 143 hours annually in traffic.
