COMELEC SAYS 60% OF BALLOTS FOR MIDTERM POLLS ALREADY PRINTED

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has printed 44 million out of 72 million ballots needed for the 2025 Midterm Elections, reaching 60% completion. Chairman George Garcia expects ballot printing to finish by March 20, with manual and automated verification to conclude by April 14. Garcia also warned candidates against illegal campaign materials, emphasizing that those who fail to comply may face charges or disqualification. Local government units will enforce rules for local candidates when their campaign period starts on March 28.
