COMELEC: NO VOTE TAMPERING AMID PPCRV COUNT DELAYS

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia assured the public Tuesday that no vote manipulation or system glitch has occurred despite delays in the PPCRV’s unofficial count.

Garcia explained that the lag was due to technical issues in data processing, not in the transmission itself, as all recipients—Comelec, PPCRV, Namfrel, political parties, and media—receive identical data from the same central server.

He emphasized that discrepancies in displayed results stem from how fast systems process and update information, not from errors or tampering.

Garcia also dismissed rumors of vote shaving, warning the public against misinformation spreading online.

A full audit will be conducted after canvassing to ensure transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
