The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released a partial list of 66 qualified senatorial aspirants for the May 2025 elections, while also flagging 177 candidates as potential “nuisance” entrants.
Among the recognized aspirants is Apollo Quiboloy, alongside notable figures like Erwin Tulfo, Ben Tulfo, and former executive secretary Vic Rodriguez.
Reelectionist candidates Francis Tolentino and Manny Pacquiao also received approval after switching parties.
Other prominent individuals on the list include former senators and progressive aspirants.
Comelec Chairman George Garcia noted that only 66 out of 183 applicants have been deemed legitimate thus far.
