Former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista’s co-accused in a new graft case were arraigned before the Sandiganbayan yesterday, pleading not guilty.
The charge against former city administrator Aldrin Cuña and Alberto Morales, chairman of Geodata Solutions, involves the alleged anomalous supply and delivery of a hospital information system worth P16 million to the Rosario Maclang General Hospital.
The charge sheet states that the project’s funds should have been properly appropriated through a city ordinance.
During the proceedings, Bautista, who was present, requested to suspend his arraignment until his motion for reconsideration was resolved.
The motion seeks to reverse the anti-graft court’s previous denial of Bautista’s motion to dismiss the case against him. The prosecution has been given 10 days to reply to the motion.
Bautista and Cuña are also currently on trial for graft charges related to a multimillion-peso solar power project in 2019.
