Cigarette manufacturer PMFTC, Inc., stated on Friday that it will comply with government regulations on vapes but will challenge findings that it violated the law.
The company argued that the complaints against it misunderstood the facts and laws, specifically one prohibiting promotional content for vapes and related products.
PMFTC emphasized its commitment to compliance and denied targeting minors, noting that its communications are intended only for legal-age consumers.
The company also said it would address the alleged violations during administrative proceedings.
The complaint stems from PMFTC’s sponsorship of a Steve Aoki concert where promotional content for the IQOS ILUMA product was featured, leading to a ban on the company’s marketing and advertising of the product line.
