Former senator Panfilo Lacson likened the 90-day campaign period for the May 2025 midterm elections to a long job interview for senatorial candidates.
He emphasized that voters are responsible for “vetting” candidates and selecting those who will best represent the country for the next six years.
Lacson pledged to focus on his record as a staunch watchdog against misuse of public funds, assuring voters that he has never stolen from the nation’s coffers.
He also highlighted the agricultural potential of Panay Island, noting that with adequate funding, it could become the top-performing region in agriculture.
Lacson expressed support for government efforts to digitize transactions, viewing it as an important step to combat corruption and drive national prosperity.
