Senatorial candidate Camille Villar is advocating for the modernization of agribusiness and rural job creation to transform farming into a profitable, sustainable, and high-tech industry.
During a campaign event in Nueva Ecija, Villar emphasized the importance of agri-tech innovation, mechanization, and investment in technology to improve the livelihoods of Filipino farmers.
If elected, she plans to push for low-interest loans, better market access for small farmers, and the expansion of agri-processing, eco-tourism, and cooperatives.
She also aims to promote the involvement of youth and women in agribusiness while strengthening farm-to-market infrastructure and digital platforms.
Villar believes that rural job creation will reduce poverty, ease urban congestion, and empower farming communities to thrive.
