Victims of the previous administration’s drug war accuse former President Rodrigo Duterte of trying to delay his International Criminal Court (ICC) trial.
Llore Pasco, who lost two sons during the campaign, criticized Duterte’s camp for giving conflicting statements about his health.
Duterte’s lawyer claims he is mentally unfit, while family members insist he is in good condition.
The Rise Up for Life and for Rights coalition said the Duterte camp is using legal tactics, like questioning ICC jurisdiction and requesting adjournments, to stall the trial.
Victims are urging the ICC to promptly reschedule the postponed confirmation of charges hearing, calling the court their last hope for justice.
