The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) warned fisherfolk and coastal residents in Cagayan to avoid two designated sea areas during the scheduled launch of China’s Long March 7A rocket from Hainan on Monday night.
The launch window is set from 7:54 p.m. to 9:16 p.m., with two potential drop zones identified near Dalupiri Island and Santa Ana.
The PCG imposed temporary restrictions and issued navigational warnings to keep vessels away from the affected waters.
It also urged the public not to handle suspected rocket debris and to report any sightings to the nearest PCG station.
The advisory comes after several recent Chinese rocket launches resulted in suspected debris falling into Philippine waters.
