The DPWH Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office has mobilized disaster response teams to monitor and address the impact of continuous rainfall from the southwest monsoon and Tropical Storm Enteng on national roads and bridges.
District Engineer Henry Alcantara stated that personnel and quick response assets have been positioned at key road sections, including Manila North Road and Maharlika Highway, due to their vulnerability to flooding.
The teams are prepared to conduct emergency operations, including asphalt patching and debris clearing, to ensure public mobility.
Heavy machinery is ready for potential debris clearing caused by falling trees and flooding.
After the storm, the office will assess damages and prepare reports with cost estimates for restoration.
