Former senator Bong Revilla Jr. called himself an “easy target” in the ongoing flood control projects corruption scandal, expressing frustration over what he described as a false narrative against him.
In a Facebook post on December 6, Revilla said his name is being used to divert attention from the truth, but vowed that the facts will eventually come out.
The 59-year-old actor-turned-politician was recommended for prosecution by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure last week, facing charges of plunder, bribery, and corruption of public officials.
Revilla said he has no intention of backing down, emphasizing that he will confront the allegations with courage and conviction.
He expressed confidence that those truly guilty will be held accountable, calling for justice for the nation.
