Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte joined the Quezon City Police District in launching Project Hilamos in Barangays Sikatuna and Teachers Village East to repaint walls defaced by vandalism.
The initiative involved barangay officials and police personnel working together to clean and restore the affected walls, which will later feature proper artwork.
Belmonte reminded the public that vandalism is prohibited under Quezon City Ordinance No. 3163, with fines ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱3,000 and liability for restoration costs.
Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio praised Belmonte’s support and said the project will help make the city cleaner, safer, and more pedestrian-friendly.
The campaign aims to foster civic responsibility while improving public spaces across the city.
