Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino will be recognized as Executive of the Year during the San Miguel Corporation-Philippine Sportswriters Association (SMC-PSA) Annual Awards Night on January 27 at the Manila Hotel.
Under Tolentino’s leadership, Team Philippines achieved historic success at the Paris Games, including Carlos Yulo’s double gold medal in gymnastics and bronze medals from boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas.
This marks Tolentino’s third time receiving the award, following back-to-back wins in 2021 and 2022.
The event will also honor Yulo as the 2024 Athlete of the Year, alongside other distinguished Filipino athletes and contributors to sports.
The awards night, supported by key organizations like the Philippine Sports Commission and PLDT/Smart, celebrates a banner year for Philippine sports.
