Seven bakery workers were found dead Tuesday morning in Antipolo City after a brutal stabbing spree allegedly committed by a co-worker.
Police said the suspect attacked the victims while they were sleeping, using a balisong and a kitchen knife.
The suspect later surrendered, claiming self-defense and alleging that the victims had plotted to kill him and take over their shared business.
He insisted that his actions were preemptive after overhearing the alleged plan to smother him and stage his death as a “bangungot.”
Authorities are investigating his claims while he remains in police custody, facing multiple murder charges.
