ANTIQUE GOVERNOR CADIAO LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR 2025 CONGRESS

Congress in the 2025 midterm elections. During a September 6 event at the Esprutingkle Convention Center, Cadiao outlined her plan to divide Antique into two congressional districts to improve representation, citing the province’s large population of over 650,000.

She also aims to fulfill a longstanding promise made by former representatives Loren Legarda and her brother Agapito Antonio “AA” Legarda.

Cadiao endorsed Department of the Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Jonathan Tan for governor and former Caluya Mayor Genevive Lim-Reyes for vice governor, having reconsidered her initial decision to support Vice Governor Edgar Denosta.

The future political moves of Denosta and Legarda remain unclear as both are yet to announce their plans for 2025.
