ANTI-CHINA CASKETS FOUND DUMPED ACROSS METRO MANILA

Police are investigating five empty caskets bearing anti-communist and anti-China slogans that were found in parts of Metro Manila.

The caskets were discovered in Manila, Caloocan, Quezon City, and Makati and reportedly left by masked individuals in vans early yesterday.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the materials were secured as authorities work to identify those responsible and determine possible violations.

Malacañang and the Department of Foreign Affairs condemned the stunt, saying it does not promote the country’s interests and that freedom of expression does not cover threats or acts endangering others.

The Chinese Embassy also condemned the incident as a political provocation and urged Philippine authorities to investigate and prosecute those responsible.
