The official teaser for the fantasy-drama film “Amir” has surpassed 4 million views, generating excitement ahead of its nationwide release on Dec. 25 as an entry in the 52nd Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Produced by GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Brightburn Entertainment, the film stars Dennis Trillo, Glaiza de Castro, Will Ashley, and child actor Argus Aspiras in the title role.
Directed by Zig Dulay, the movie features a screenplay by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee and award-winning writer Anj Atienza.
The teaser has received positive reactions from viewers, who praised its emotional storytelling, cinematography, and sound design.
The production companies also secured a distribution partnership with Columbia Pictures Philippines on Oct. 15 to bring the film to cinemas nationwide.
