AFP, CANADA PARTNER TO TRAIN TROOPS IN CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS

The Armed Forces of the Philippines has launched a five-day Military Cyber Security Operations Course to strengthen its personnel’s skills in cyber security operations.

The program, co-hosted with the Canadian Directorate of Military Training and Cooperation, is being held at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig until Jan. 23.

It brings together 50 participants from different AFP branches, including 14 from the Philippine Army, who provide direct support to cyber operations.

The course focuses on understanding the cyber environment and applying cyber considerations in military and operational contexts.

The AFP said the initiative underscores its commitment to human capital development and to enhancing cyber capabilities in support of national and external security operations.
