ACT SLAMS BATO’S PAID SENATE ABSENCE AS UNFAIR TO WORKERS

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) criticized Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa for his prolonged Senate absence, calling it a dereliction of duty and betrayal of public trust.

ACT chair Ruby Bernardo urged Senate leaders to impose sanctions, including disciplinary action equivalent to dismissal.

Dela Rosa has reportedly not reported for work since November 11, 2025, yet continues to receive his full salary, benefits, and perks.

Bernardo condemned the arrangement as an abuse of privilege funded by taxpayers, particularly workers and teachers.

She warned that continued Senate inaction would fuel public outrage and further erode trust in government.
