The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that 762 polling precincts across the country will undergo a Random Manual Audit (RMA) following the May 12 National and Local Elections.
The precincts will be selected via an electronic raffle, and one Philippine post abroad using the online voting system will also be included.
The RMA will compare the results from the voting machines with manually counted ballots, ensuring accuracy.
Comelec Chair George Garcia reassured the public, citing a 99.9% accuracy rate in previous audits since 2010.
The RMA process will also involve representatives from various organizations, including the Department of Education and the Philippine Statistics Authority.
