16,000 TEACHERS PROMOTED BY ANGARA, 41,000 MORE SET FOR MARCOS ADMINISTRATION

Under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., teachers in the Philippines are now experiencing timely career advancement through the Expanded Career Progression (ECP) system led by Education Secretary Sonny Angara.

The Department of Education has promoted 16,025 teachers, with 41,183 more processed and submitted to the Department of Budget and Management for approval.

Thousands of teachers, like Claire Eusebio, who advanced from Teacher III to Teacher VI, are now receiving salary-grade jumps they previously could only hope for near retirement.

The system has enabled both three-step and smaller promotions nationwide, addressing long-standing backlogs and ensuring teachers advance while still in active service.

To sustain the reform, DepEd will expand training and leadership programs, prioritize promotions for those nearing retirement, and continue supporting professional growth across the teaching workforce.
