San Juan City successfully held its annual Wattah Wattah Festival in 2025, attracting around 10,000 participants, according to the Philippine National Police.
The event was conducted under stricter security and guidelines set by City Ordinance No. 14, addressing concerns from last year’s celebration.
Mayor Francis Zamora praised the public’s cooperation and the efficiency of emergency and security teams in ensuring a safe festival.
Unlike previous years, no incidents of passersby being doused with water occurred, reflecting the success of the new protocols.
The city government plans to conduct a post-event assessment to further improve safety measures for future festivals.
