The Sacramento Kings have eliminated the Golden State Warriors from the NBA playoff contention with a decisive 118-94 victory.
The game, held at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, saw Keegan Murray shine with 32 points and nine rebounds, including eight three-pointers.
The Kings gradually pulled away in the second half, building a significant lead that the Warriors couldn’t overcome. De’Aaron Fox contributed 24 points, while Harrison Barnes added 17 against his former team.
Steph Curry led the Warriors with 22 points. With this loss, the Warriors’ season comes to an end, raising questions about their future, particularly with Klay Thompson becoming an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
The Kings will now face the New Orleans Pelicans in a do-or-die game for the final seed of the Western Conference, with the winner advancing to play the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
