Jan Francis Alinsonorin from Visayas won the Karaoke World Championships Philippines (KWC PH) 2024, earning the chance to represent the Philippines at the global finals in Finland this October.
His victory on August 16 at the SM City North EDSA SkyDome concluded a rigorous selection process involving nationwide auditions and competition among top finalists from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Metro Manila.
The KWC, established in Finland in 2003, is the largest amateur singing competition worldwide, and this year’s Philippine leg was hosted by The New Channel (TNC).
As the champion, Alinsonorin received an all-expense-paid trip to Finland, a cash prize, a one-year artist management contract, and other sponsor gifts.
He will compete in the global finals from October 7 to 12, following a fair assessment by a distinguished panel of judges.
