VICE PRESIDENT REMOVED FROM NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reorganized the National Security Council (NSC) through an executive order, removing the Vice President from its membership. 

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin explained that the restructuring aims to streamline the council’s composition. 

This change highlights the need for a more focused and efficient approach to national security. 

The decision underscores the Marcos administration’s efforts to optimize governmental operations. 

This move aligns with the administration’s broader goals of improving efficiency within key state institutions.
