President Marcos inaugurated the country’s first Valor Clinic at the Philippine Air Force facility in Lipa, Batangas, aiming to expand healthcare access for military veterans, retirees, and their dependents.
The Valor Clinic project will decentralize veteran healthcare by establishing a network of primary care services in military treatment facilities nationwide.
Currently, most veteran healthcare services are concentrated at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, which handles about 260,000 outpatient cases annually.
Phase 1 of the project includes five pilot facilities, with plans to expand to more locations across the country in subsequent phases.
The clinics will be staffed by local medical teams, equipped with telehealth connections, and focus on preventive medicine, chronic care, and health research, also serving civilian defense communities.
