Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez denied authorizing anyone to offer a P5-million allocation fund to Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson.
The denial followed Lacson’s social media post showing his staff rejecting an alleged fund offer from Benitez’s office.
Benitez said he has launched an internal investigation to identify those responsible for the unauthorized offer and misrepresentation.
He vowed to pursue administrative or criminal charges against those found liable.
Lacson, meanwhile, said he would clarify the issue during the Senate’s plenary deliberations on TESDA’s 2027 budget in November.
