The University of Santo Tomas (UST) made a strong start in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament, securing a nerve-testing victory over La Salle during their Final Four showdown at the Mall of Asia Arena.
With rookie Angge Poyos leading the team, the Tigresses aim to end the season by winning the women’s volleyball crown after a 14-year wait, showcasing the team’s talent and determination to bring the championship back to UST.
Despite facing challenges and setbacks, including a loss to Far Eastern University (FEU), the Tigresses have demonstrated resilience and skill, positioning themselves as strong contenders for the championship title.
UST’s young roster, led by Poyos and supported by players like Cassie Carballo, Jonna Perdido, and Reg Jurado, has shown exceptional performance and determination, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive season.
