Team Secret, also known as the Adobo Gang, emerged as the champions of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Valorant competition. The team achieved a clean sweep against Japan’s FAV Gaming in an intense final match held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
In the first game, Team Secret took control and won with a score of 13-7, stealing FAV Gaming’s map pick. With a 12-7 lead in the second game, FAV’s bazz had an opportunity to extend the match, but Secret’s invy eliminated him just as he was about to plant the spike, securing the victory for Team Secret.
The second game started with Team Secret dominating, quickly taking a 12-1 lead. However, FAV Gaming fought back and won three consecutive rounds, bringing the score to 12-3. The deciding match was filled with high-adrenaline moments.
In the end, Team Secret emerged triumphant. Secret’s NDG was named the MVP of the second game, boasting an impressive 18/5/4 kill-death-assist ratio. The team lifted the Predator Shield as they celebrated their victory.
Notably, the Philippines had a successful showing in the Predator League, with both Team Secret in Valorant and Blacklist Rivalry in Dota 2 winning their respective championships. Both teams brought home a prize of $65,000 USD (approximately P3.6 million).
The Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Valorant competition featured 16 teams competing for a total prize pool of $100,000 USD. Team Secret’s dominant performance and championship win solidify their position as a formidable team in the Valorant esports community.
