At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift and Post Malone won the first award of the night for Best Collaboration, presented by Flavor Flav and Olympian Jordan Chiles.
Swift’s acceptance speech began with a tribute to the victims of 9/11 before praising Malone, whom she humorously described as persistent in calling her “ma’am.”
The event, held at UBS Arena on Long Island, featured Eminem’s opening performance and Megan Thee Stallion’s debut as host, who playfully rebranded the VMAs as the “Voluptuous Megan Awards.”
Swift, leading the nominations with 12, has the potential to become the most-awarded artist in VMA history, trailing only behind Beyoncé.
Other highlights include Katy Perry receiving the Video Vanguard Award and a lineup of performances from art.
