The Taguig City government will hold public consultations on its proposed schedule of market values (SMV) for real properties under Republic Act 12001.
The SMV provides a table of base unit values for all types of real property, which are used to determine taxation, while properties not listed will be appraised at current market value.
The consultations will be held both in-person and online on January 28, January 30, and February 2, targeting homeowners’ associations, estates, manufacturing stakeholders, and government agencies.
The city government emphasized that public participation is essential to ensure the SMV is fair, transparent, and reflective of current market conditions.
These sessions will allow stakeholders to review the proposed valuations, ask questions, provide suggestions, and promote transparency before the schedule is submitted for national review and approval.
