The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) called for stronger cooperation among stakeholders to combat gambling addiction, citing the social risks of gaming.
At the International Conference on Responsible Gambling and Addiction, PAGCOR chairman Alejandro Tengco highlighted their initiatives, including player exclusion programs and partnerships with rehab centers.
PAGCOR also issued a warning about fraudulent gaming certifications involving upfront cash deposits. Lucky 7 Bingo Corp. was flagged for allegedly tricking individuals into bogus contracts under a fake offshore gaming license.
PAGCOR emphasized that all offshore gaming operations have been banned in the Philippines since 2024.
