Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN, has issued a warning regarding the recent online attacks against P-pop groups BINI and BGYO.
In a statement, Star Magic’s legal counsel Atty. Joji Alonso emphasized that such attacks violate cyberbullying and anti-libel laws. Alonso stated that BINI and BGYO have been subjected to malicious online attacks aimed at damaging their reputation.
The statement highlighted the groups’ courage in standing up against online bullies and announced that legal action is being taken against those responsible for spreading unfounded rumors.
Alonso urged the public to be responsible social media users and reminded them of the importance of creating a safe online environment.
