About 3,000 supporters in Bacolod City launched the “Risa Na” movement on Sunday to back Sen. Risa Hontiveros as a potential presidential candidate in the 2028 elections.
The gathering brought together members of various sectors who called for responsive, inclusive, and accountable leadership.
Organizers and supporters described Hontiveros as a leader with integrity, courage, and a commitment to public service.
Participants also signed a manifesto pledging support for her potential candidacy and the formation of “Risa Na” chapters in their communities.
The movement aims to build grassroots support for Hontiveros ahead of the 2028 presidential race.
