The Senate has adopted a resolution celebrating the box office success of the Star Cinema film “Rewind.” Senate Resolution No. 909, sponsored by Sen. Robinhood Padilla, commends the artists and production team of the film, which has become the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
The leading stars of the film, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, along with director Mae Cruz Alviar and producers from Star Cinema and APT Entertainment, were present at the Senate to receive a copy of the resolution.
Padilla praised the movie for leaving a lasting impact on viewers, emphasizing its messages of love for God, country, environment, and fellow man.
Other senators also expressed their appreciation for the film, highlighting its reminders about the importance of expressing love for one another and the absence of a rewind button in life.
“Rewind” has surpassed P900 million in earnings, surpassing the previous record set by “Hello, Love, Goodbye” in 2019. The success of “Rewind” has brought hope for the future of the Philippine film industry.
