Executive Secretary Ralph Recto urged faster, tighter, and more coordinated government action against organized crime during a recalibration meeting with the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (Paocc) on February 9.
The meeting included top officials from the Armed Forces, the Philippine National Police, the Department of Justice, and other key agencies involved in national security.
Recto emphasized the need to prevent criminal activity before it happens, enforce discipline, realign priorities, and achieve measurable results.
Officials reviewed the Serious and Organized Crime Threat Assessment 2022–2024 to guide Paocc’s Crime Action Plan and strengthen efforts against sophisticated criminal networks.
Since its creation in 2000, Paocc has served as the lead government body coordinating intelligence, law enforcement, and justice operations to combat organized and transnational crime.
