Pop sensation Taylor Swift made history at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, clinching her fourth Album of the Year award for “Midnights” and setting a new record as the artist with the most wins in this category.
The 34-year-old surpassed legendary musicians like Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder with this achievement.
Swift emerged victorious in a competitive field that included Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, Jon Batiste, and SZA. Her win adds to her impressive list of accomplishments, including the monumental Eras Tour, which became the first billion-dollar tour in history.
In her acceptance speech, Swift expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that the award represents the culmination of hard work and dedication.
“Midnights,” her 10th studio album, debuted at the top of the Billboard charts in October 2022, making Swift the first artist to secure all 10 spots on the US top songs chart simultaneously.
Apart from Album of the Year, Swift also won Best Pop Vocal Album and announced her upcoming studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” scheduled for release on April 19.
