RAFAEL CALINISAN NAMED NEW HEAD OF THE NATIONAL POLICE COMMISSION

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Rafael Vicente Calinisan as the new vice chairman and executive officer of the National Police Commission (Napolcom), effective April 15. 

Calinisan, who was previously a Napolcom commissioner, succeeds Ricardo Bernabe 3rd in the role. 

Before joining Napolcom, Calinisan served as the chief of the Quezon City People’s Law Enforcement Board. 

In a statement, he expressed gratitude for the appointment and committed to promoting professionalism, integrity, and excellence within the Philippine National Police (PNP), ensuring the welfare of its officers and serving the Filipino people with transparency and accountability.
