The Quezon City government will deploy eight brand-new electric buses along QCity Bus Route 6 starting May 11 as part of its efforts to modernize public transport and promote environmental sustainability.
Operations will remain unchanged, with the route continuing to serve passengers between Quezon City Hall and Gilmore via Tomas Morato with regular stops and schedules.
The low-floor electric buses are designed to improve accessibility and commuter convenience, accommodating 41 seated passengers with limited standing capacity for safety.
The city’s Traffic and Transport Management Department will oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth rollout and efficient service.
The initiative supports the local government’s push for cleaner transport, reduced pollution, and improved mobility planning based on commuter data.
