Quezon City has earned its fifth consecutive unmodified opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA, the highest audit rating given for accurate and transparent financial statements.
COA’s recognition affirms that the city’s finances are managed by national standards.
Mayor Joy Belmonte said the achievement reflects the city’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of public funds.
She credited the improved public services and strong fiscal governance as key factors in gaining the trust of QCitizens and securing her recent landslide re-election.
City Hall emphasized that this consistent recognition positions Quezon City among the country’s best-managed local governments.
