The Office of the President has issued a directive requiring all national government agencies and local government units to support and participate in the 2024 National Crime Prevention Program (NCPP).
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed Memorandum Circular No. 46 on April 18, emphasizing the importance of government-wide cooperation to ensure the success of the program.
The NCPP, proposed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and endorsed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., aims to implement strategies that promote safe communities, protect
Filipino rights, and reduce criminal activities in alignment with the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) has been designated as the lead agency for the program’s implementation.
Funding requirements will be sourced from existing allocations of respective agencies and LGUs, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
