The Philippine National Police (PNP) will file obstruction of justice charges against individuals who assisted Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus (KoJC), in evading arrest.
Quiboloy, who faces serious charges including child sexual abuse and human trafficking, surrendered at his Davao City compound after a major police operation.
PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil stated that those who knowingly helped Quiboloy avoid arrest, including legal representatives who misled authorities, will face legal consequences—the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, led by Maj. Gen. Leo Francisco will lead the investigation to gather evidence and hold these individuals accountable.
Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos had previously warned that Quiboloy’s supporters would be prosecuted.
