PNP INVESTIGATES POSSIBLE OFFICER ASSISTANCE TO FUGITIVE CHARLIE ANG

The Philippine National Police is investigating active and retired officers who may have provided security or assistance to businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang, wanted in connection with the disappearance of cockfight enthusiasts.

The CIDG is validating tips from 17 reports on Ang’s whereabouts, with operations conducted in Porac, Pampanga, and Rosario, Batangas, but so far yielding no results.

PNP authorities are also looking into the involvement of four retired generals and other seasoned officers, while Ang’s firearms have been declared illegal following the revocation of his license.

Officials stressed that there is no confirmed record of Ang leaving the country, and all formal entry and exit points are being monitored.

The PNP reiterated that the search is ongoing, emphasizing that operations are genuine and not staged, as public scrutiny continues.
